Hikari, better known as Singing Cosplayer Hikari, will travel to France for a couple of performances at Japan Expo Paris this coming July. This will be Singing Cosplayer Hikari’s second international event, following HYPER JAPAN ONLINE 2021, which was held in July 2021. At Japan Expo in Paris, she will perform two live music concerts and one appearance on the cosplay stage, as well as signing autographs once a day. This will be the first time she has participated in an event with an audience.
Since the start of 2021, Singing Cosplayer Hikari has been actively promoting Japanese culture to the world by covering Japanese pop songs from anisongs to Vocaloid songs and cosplaying. The cover of the Vocaloid song Yume To Hazakura written by Gekkoh Aoki was released on April 20, 2021, and reached No. 1 on the J-Pop charts in 14 countries around the world, with its YouTube video having been viewed more than 2.48 million times. She has done several collaborations, such as comedian and bodybuilder Nakayama Kinni-kun, Malaysian influencer Amelia Khor, and French rapper Suzuya.
Recently, Hikari was selected as a regular personality for a new radio programme on Nippon Cultural Broadcasting, ANIME SONGS PARTY!, which also has a video version that can be found on the official YouTube channel of ANIME SONGS PARTY! as well as on the YouTube channels of Manga News (France), ANIME NEWS NETWORK (North America), HYPER JAPAN (UK), and GwiGwi (Indonesia).
Japan Expo Paris will take place from Thursday 14 July to Sunday 17 July at the Parc des Expositions de Paris- Nord-Villepinte.
