Psych-rock quintet Kikagaku Moyo will go on an indefinite hiatus at the end of 2022, 10 years after the band got started. But before all of this, they will go on tour through Europe and North America and release their very last album via Guruguru Brain in May.

The band shared their news on their social media and a special page dedicated to their final tours in 2022: “After much discussion between the five of us at the end of last year, we have decided to go on an indefinite hiatus after 2022. This means 2022 will be our last year as Kikagaku Moyo.” The band continued: “We have come to the conclusion that because we have truly achieved our core mission as a band, we would love to end this project on the highest note possible. Since first starting as a music collective on the streets of Tokyo in 2012, we never, ever imagined being able to play all over the world for our amazing audiences. It is all because of you that this was ever possible…and to this we are eternally grateful.”

First, the band will start touring in North America, starting on the 11th of May in Canada. In June, they will start their European tour in France. A couple of summer festival performances are also planned, such as the Loaded Festival in Norway and Best Kept Secret in the Netherlands. Then, in September, Kikagaku Moyo will tour North America again to end it on a good note, to be specific, it will be a west-coast tour.

The European tour dates are as follows:

Friday 3 June: Le Quai – Angers, France
Monday 6 June: Trabando – Paris, France
Thursday 9 June: Loaded Festival 2022 – Oslo, Norway
Friday 10 June: Best Kept Secret 2022 – Hilvarenbeek, Netherlands
Sunday 12 June: Le Grand Mix – Tourcoing, France
Monday 13 June: Le Botanique – Brussels, Belgium
Tuesday 14 June: Gebäude 9 – Cologne, Germany
Wednesday 15 June: Pumpehuset – Copenhagen, Denmark
Thursday 16 June: Festsaal Kreuzberg – Berlin, Germany
Friday 17 June: Futurum Music Bar – Prague, Czech Republic
Saturday 18 June: Flex – Vienna, Austria
Monday 20 June: Les Docks – Lausanne, Switzerland
Tuesday 21 June: Mascotte – Zürich, Switzerland
Wednesday 22 June: Paradiso – Amsterdam, Netherlands
Sunday 26 June: Clapham Grand – London, United Kingdom
Monday 27 June: EartH – London, United Kingdom
