A lot has already been done to celebrate AVO Magazine’s 18th birthday and rightly so, 18 years is no mean feat! From the production of a podcast episode to the highlights by current and former team members of the web project, also several musicians decided to celebrate by sending in videos with a special message.

Below are the five more videos (do check part 1) released on AVO Magazine’s YouTube channel.

Yuichi Abe (April in 85)

As Yuichi explains in the video, there is a long history between him and AVO as his previous band was talked about and supported on the now-defunct AVO Forum. Now nothing of it can be found, but here on this website, there is enough to be found about one of the current projects, April in 85. Recently April in 85 did a show to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the pop-rock band project. Time flies, congratulations! Here’s to many more years!

BABYBEARD

BABYBEARD got an introductory interview shortly after the group was introduced to the world. While the trio was in the middle of their debut promotional round, they decided to sing a song to celebrate the 18th anniversary of AVO Magazine, which was a big surprise! Looking forward to what they will bring in the new year!

PINKY DOODLE POODLE

In 2020, AVO Magazine talked with the Tokyo-based duo, at the time they were located in the United States and trying to perform whenever possible – which wasn’t easy due to the pandemic. They are always working hard to stay connected with their fanbase and never stop working to make new songs.

Daisuke (Dn-Lahmar Galaxy7)

It is always neat to have the chance to have a good conversation with musicians who want to share their experiences, just like Daisuke, the frontman of Dn-Lahmar Galaxy7. Read the interview that AVO Magazine had with him this spring. It gives a good picture of the musician and his journey as an indie and commercial artist. Recently Dn-Lahmar Galaxy7 released a digital single.

Kai (Esprit D’Air)

In May, we talked with Kai from the start to finish of the creation of music. The discovery of Esprit D’Air was many years back, around the time that the band restarted again and as many know, this band also performed at AVO Magazine’s music festival in 2018. 2021 was a very fruitful year for the band project as there were many new releases produced thanks to the support of fans on Patreon. And in the new year we can expect a new album that was fully funded through a crowdfunding campaign.

Subscribe to AVO Magazine’s YouTube channel and look forward to upcoming videos! Support the musicians and follow them on social media and subscribe to their YouTube channels as well! Also is it good to know that liking and commenting on videos will help the videos to get noticed more and the musicians will see it as well! Many thanks to the musicians for making the special video’s to celebrate the 18th anniversary of AVO Magazine with us!
