A lot has already been done to celebrate AVO Magazine’s 18th birthday and rightly so, 18 years is no mean feat! From the production of a podcast episode to the highlights by current and former team members of the web project, also several musicians decided to celebrate by sending in videos with a special message.

Below are the first five videos released on AVO Magazine’s YouTube channel.

MOMOCURLY

After discovering the music of MOMOCURLY, several releases from this duo got highlighted on AVO Magazine. The musicians have been busy with creating new music and an album and hopefully they will return to Europe soon.

Cilvie

The first interview of 2021 was with the rock band Cilvie. In that interview, they have discussed the future of the music scene in Japan. In the meantime, they are working hard to create new music to hopefully soon perform them on stage.

BLACK MARIA

Rock band BLACK MARIA got interviewed a while back for AVO Magazine and was willing to make a special video for AVO Magazine’s 18th anniversary and also announced something in the video as well!

HIRΦNO KAMINOSE

While most are familiar with the former work under a different name of the singer-songwriter, just since recently the musician is active under the name HIRΦNO KAMINOSE. You can read more about it in this curtain-raiser article. To celebrate AVO Magazine’s birthday, the musician decided to record a song.

Re:O

Recently, singer-songwriter Re:O got interviewed on AVO Magazine as an introduction to her work and her new adventure as a solo musician. She took the chance to also create a video to celebrate with us.

There are a couple more videos on their way, so please subscribe to AVO Magazine’s YouTube channel and look forward to more videos! In the meantime, support the musicians and follow them on social media and subscribe to their YouTube channels as well! Also is it good to know that liking and commenting on videos will help the videos to get noticed more and the musicians will see it as well!

Cover for "EVERYTHING". The image features a portrait of a drawn girl with white hair and blue eyes. She is wearing a white tank top, and her expression is neutral with her mouth obscured by the band logo of Cilvie. The photo depicts the four members of Re:O standing together against a blueish background. All band members are dressed predominantly in black, with three of them wearing purple ties and frontwoman Rio is dressed in what seems to be yukata or yukata-inspired garment in the colour dark blue/purple with white floral patterns.
