To celebrate the release of the album, ナナりんご (Seven Apples), pop-rock band Vaiwatt will be touring. This album release tour will mostly take place in Japan, but will take a detour on 31st of October in Turkey, in the city of Istanbul specifically, before the tour final in Japan where they will do a show at EDO WAVE, part of Tokyo International Music Fes, at Shinjuku Loft.

The album will be released on the 22nd of September and is the first album in four years for the band and made during the period that they toured around from 2018 and the current pandemic. The new album will consist of 7 tracks, filled with poppy punk songs. A trial listening was offered at the end of June. This video will also give some more insight into the album and cover art.

Formed in 2013, the band consists of vocalist and guitarist Ken and bassist and vocalist Tama. Vaiwaitt’s sound is focused on combining Japanese pop with western rock, which they therefore describe as combining the power of pop music’s positive smile with the power of rock that defeats modern angst. They are also considered as “The Extremely Unpredictable Digital Chaos Duo”. The band has performed outside Japan before, with shows in the United States, Russia and Italy.

That the band will be visiting Turkey is not surprising as they released a single through the Istanbul-based DIY record label Kafadan Kontak Records earlier this year.
