On Sunday the 18th of July, Ryota Yoshinari, will celebrate his birthday with a music event at Live Bar Thumbs Up in Yokohama. Ryota is better known for his work as the bass player of ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D, but since the band is on an indefinite hiatus, he has been active in the music scene as a solo artist and supporting other musicians.
The event has been sold out and to give people the chance to not miss this unique celebration, it was decided to also live broadcast the performances on Twitcasting, which means that it can be viewed and enjoyed worldwide.
The birthday festival will consist of performances of Ryota Yoshinari backed up by a band, Koki Tanaka (also with band) and SHiNNOSUKE (ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D/S.T.U.W) with a backing band.
Ryota has been publishing music as a solo musician but also worked together with his brother Yu-ta, better known as the drummer of X Made Alcoholic Santaclaus, for a special music video collaboration, Makuru. Furthermore, he has been supporting musicians such as Koki Tanaka.
Koki Tanaka
Koki Tanaka has been working hard to do his own thing as a popular solo rock musician, formerly he was active in the idol group KAT-TUN and later on in the rock band INKT. Earlier this year, he did release a song as a sort of parody on his infamous songs that were released during his idol days. With the support of his fans, through crowdfunding, he was able to produce a new music video. You can watch them all here.
SHiNNOSUKE
SHiNNOSUKE was active as the vocalist and guitarist in the rock band ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D. With ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D now on indefinite hiatus, SHiNNOSUKE started a solo career but also began working together with UZ (SPYAIR) to create the music project S.T.U.W. They knew each other from touring together during the world tour where both bands shared the stage. With S.T.U.W, they make genre-less music.
Tickets for the live broadcast are 2000 yen and if you cannot join the event at the time of streaming, it will be possible to watch the archive until the first of August. The birthday event will start at 17.00 Japanese time, which means a breakfast show for those in The Netherlands (10.00 AM) and the United Kingdom (9.00 AM). Get your ticket here.
