Rock’n’roll band Guitar Wolf will be organising a new edition of Shimane Jett Fes, planned for 9 and 10 October. Last year, the event took place online due to the situation of the pandemic, but this year, the aim is that the event will be organised locally, in Matsue. To make this festival possible a crowdfunding is in the making, as it has been in recent years.
The kick-off of this crowdfunding will be on Wednesday 14th of July with a free live broadcast on the YouTube channel of DOMMUNE. For those living in Japan, they are able to buy a ticket, although limited, to see the show live in person. During this kick-off, Guitar Wolf and musical unit of Sugimo, Clitoric Ris will take the stage. The evening starts at 20.00 Japanese time (13.00 in The Netherlands and 12.00 in the United Kingdom) until 23.00 PM.
The rock festival has been organised by the leader of Guitar Wolf, Seiji, since 2017. Taking place in Kososhi Park in Shimane Prefecture (and an afterparty at AZTiC canova), a park that was built upon an ancient Japanese pyramid, Shimane Jett Fes will be the event where many Japanese bands can introduce themselves in front of a big audience from young to old.
