The organisation behind Viencon, a cosplay-focused convention that takes place at Centerparcs de Limburgse Peel in The Netherlands, has now confirmed that the convention will now take place in the summer of 2022. The third edition was originally supposed to take place in 2020, but got postponed due to the situation around COVID-19 and the measurements taken which made it impossible to continue. Now many people were looking forward for the small convention to take place in the coming summer, but they have to wait a bit longer for it.
The organisation shared a message on their social media and website about their decision to postpone it once again: “Since it’s still not possible to guarantee that Viencon can be held this year, we will be moving our event to next year! The date will be the 26th until the 29th of August 2022. As you all know we are a small convention and our existence depends on the support you give us. Because too many refunds would mean the end of Viencon, all current bookings will automatically be transferred to next year.”
If you are not able to attend the event in 2022 or want a voucher, you can still contact the organisation before the end of May.
