Kracie – Popin Cookin: Whipped Cake Shop – Elaborate
Price: ± €5
Extra supplies: Water & Scissors.

This candy kit might seem very familiar to some of you, which is only logical since it really resembles the previous version. Even though it is a renewed kit, rather than a completely new one, there are some differences from the old one. This kit includes three powder packs, one for each colour of ice cream and one for the chocolate sauce. It also includes two ice cream cones, one edible wafer bowl and one wafer. The kit also contains a pack of sprinkles and part of the mould can be made into a stand for the ice cream cones.

The main difference with the previous version is the addition of the chocolate sauce and the stand to put the cones in, it seems.

Flavour: ♥♥
Just like in the previous version I tasted a custard pudding flavour in both kinds of ice cream. The pink ice cream did have a stronger strawberry smell and flavour than I remembered from the previous version. It even had a bit of a sour flavour to it as well, which I enjoyed.

The wafer seemed a bit stale and tasted pretty dry and old, which is exactly what I thought last time as well. In general most of the wafers in candy kits seem to be this way. The cones and wafer bowl were crispy and didn’t taste stale. They tasted liked ice cream cones usually do.

When it comes to the new addition, the chocolate sauce, it was definitely a welcome addition. It tasted chocolatey and slightly bitter, which complimented the sweet flavours of the ice cream well.

The sprinkles were crispy and sweet, like you’d expect them to be.

Most of the flavours seem very similar to what I think the previous version tasted like, the exception being that the ice cream doesn’t seem overly sweet and the pink ice cream has a less faint strawberry flavour to it than it seemed to have before. The chocolate sauce complimented the other elements well.

Time needed: ⧗
This kit takes very little time. All of the separate elements are easy to prepare and quickly put together.

Difficulty level: ★
This is an easy candy kit, follow the instructions and you should end up with a similar result.

Similarity: 📷📷
As you can see on the pictures below, the final product looks pretty similar to the packaging. The main difference being that I can’t pipe as perfectly as the person who made the product on the packaging. The pink colour was also a little less vibrant than on the packaging.

Want to enjoy this kit again?

This set doesn’t really lend itself to reusing it, but you could recreate it on your own. You could us actual ice cream cones and cut them smaller, fill them up with whipped cream or even soft serve ice cream.

This is not a sponsored review and because of this I won’t mention where I bought this set, if you do an online search using the name of this kit you’ll be able to find this one in several webshops.
