The 2021 edition of Dutch cosy convention TomoCon will be postponed to the summer of this year, to be specific, the first weekend of August, 7th and 8th. The organisation behind TomoCon, Stichting Tomo, earlier shared their concerns about keeping the 7th edition of the convention on the original dates, 10 and 11 April, but made the decision to move it to another period of the year. If the event cannot take place in August, they have another moment in 2021 blocked in their schedule, 11 and 12 December.
Stichting Tomo explained on their social media: “As announced earlier, it is not realistic to expect TomoCon to take place on 10 & 11 April. Therefore TomoCon has been rescheduled for 7 & 8 August. All known parts will move with the event or will be adjusted to the then-current regulations. If it is still not safe to do so on 7 & 8 August, the event will be moved to 11 & 12 December. The camping will be cancelled if Tomocon moves to December. All tickets remain valid. All people who already have a ticket have received an email with further information. We really regret this, but being able to meet each other in a safe way is our priority. A Tomocon without activities but only with a market is not what we should want and cannot be organised safely at this moment.”
TomoCon will take place at Berchplaets in Berchem (municipality of Oss). Last year, the organisation wasn’t able to organise their seventh edition of the convention, so hopefully, they are able to do it in 2021.
