We are still in a lockdown because of the ongoing pandemic which means there are few fun things to do outdoors and otherwise connected with many temporary rules to do everything as safely as possible (or as they say corona proof). With the possibility nowadays of picking up your food and drink via the take-away route from the various food adn drink service establishments and shops (click & collect), a fun way has also been found by, among others, artist and Japanologist Philo Ouweleen to exhibit her work for a short time with her solo exhibition Japan in gouache and watercolour. Nice for those who are searching for some inspiration relating to Japan or just like art.
At Liever Hier, a local coffee house and cake bakery, there is an opportunity on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to get something to eat (for take-away) and also have a look at the works of the Japanologist. Liever Hier can be found at Nieuwendammerdijk 413 in Amsterdam and the mini exposition can be viewed from this week onwards (week number 7). On Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10.00 to 17.00 it is possible to pick up your snack and drink and have a look at the four works that are there on display. The works will stay on display until 20th of June, 2021.
