Kracie – Mystery Ball Melon & Watermelon – Simple
Price: ± €3
Extra supplies: Water, Scissors, Plate.
Some of you might remember a similar candy kit from a previous review. With this kit you create two flavours of ‘mystery balls’, which are kind of like edible water balloons. The flavours in this kit are described as melon and watermelon. The package contains three powders, a mixing tray and spoons.
Flavour: ♥♥
These ‘mystery balls’ are supposed to taste like watermelon and melon, according to the packaging. Both flavours were clearly present, the pink ones had a watermelon flavour and the green ones had a melon flavour. The pink ones had a very strong flavour, more so than the green ones. Both kinds are sweet, but not overly sweet.
When it comes to texture these were identical to the previous version with soda and grape flavour, if I remember correctly. The outer layer is made of a sort of thin jelly and the inside is still liquid.
The blue water tasted a bit like soda and lemon.
Time needed: ⧗
This kit takes almost no time at all. Just add water, mix, drop and fish out the candies.
Difficulty level: ★
This is an easy candy kit, just make sure to keep the powders separate from one another and follow the instructions.
Similarity: 📷📷
As you can see on the pictures below, the final product looks pretty similar to the packaging. The only notable differences are the slightly rubbery look of these candies and of course their less than perfect round shape.

Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry. Don’t use soap to clean the mould.
You could probably recreate these ‘magic balls’ by experimenting a little with recipes for ‘artificial ikura’ or recipes for a ‘water drop cake’.
