The 15th edition of the French convention Mang’Azur will not take place in April 2021. The event will now take place in April 2022.
The organisation behind the annual event dedicated to Japanese and Korean culture announced this on Facebook and Twitter: “As you have had the opportunity to see, we have not yet communicated concerning the 2021 edition of Mang’Azur. For the sake of transparency, we are announcing today the cancellation of the Mang’Azur, which was to take place on April 24th and 25th, 2021. It is with a heavy heart that we take this decision for obvious reasons. The current sanitary context prevents us from organising an event.”
Mang’Azur’s 15th anniversary was originally planned in 2020. While the organisation moved the event from April to May, they finally decided to cancel the 2020-edition and focus on the next year. Now it is even more bitter that the event has to skip two years to finally be able to celebrate its 15th anniversary. The festival allows a wide public to discover this culture through its traditions, its music, current state of the art by bringing together the actors of the French and Japanese scene in this field.
All changes of Japan-related events and events where Japanese musicians are planned to perform are compiled in a list that you can find here. This list will be regularly updated.
