BAND-MAID, the internationally popular Japanese rock band with a maid motif (and still achieving world domination), recently released their fourth album with the title Unseen World on the 13th of January, along with a music video for the song Manners from the album. With these releases still fresh in our minds, the band has also announced plans to hold an online listening party and release new content on YouTube. But that is not all!
The listening party is planned for 20 January at 21.00 Japanese time, that is around lunchtime for Europe, 13.00 Netherlands time and 12.00 British time. This will be an online event where everyone, including the band members, can listen to the new album simultaneously, in the comfort of their own homes, and share their thoughts on Twitter. To participate in the event, simply listen to the songs at the designated time and post about them on Twitter with the hashtags #bandmaid and #BMUWLP. The members of BAND-MAID will also be participating through their own accounts.
When it hits midnight in Japan, right after the online listening party, the band will premiere something on their YouTube channel, where the members themselves will be in the chat as well. The URL and further details will be released at a later date.
Originally BAND-MAID were planning to perform at Nippon Budokan on 11th of February, they have cancelled it a earlier this week. The decision to cancel this event was made after much deliberation and consideration of the current social situation, government policies, and other factors, with top priority given to the health and safety of the audience. However, BAND-MAID have announced that they will be holding an online concert without audience at a different venue on 11th of February. Details such as the viewing fee and starting time will be released at a later date.
