On the 13th of September, singer-songwriter HITT, a musician who has toured Europe many times, shared an important announcement with his fans through a livestream. In this live broadcast, he shared his new plans for the future which includes the change of his artist name after 16 years. He will give an official farewell to the artist name in November with a final performance as HITT.

HITT, the artist name of Hiroyuki Ono, was on a search for a new passion and more motivation and decided that leaving his current artist name behind and start new was the best decision. The new artist name will be announced during his last performance as HITT, planned for Saturday 28th of November at Minami Aoyama Mandala, a live venue in Tokyo. This performance will also be livestreamed for the fans all over the world, including Japan since the venue accepts a limited number of people.

The platform used for the live broadcast is called Tiget and from 10th of October, it is possible to buy tickets. A ticket for the show is 2000 yen. To find out how to buy a ticket through this platform, there is a user guide in English to help you. The stream will start at 12.30 Japanese time (03:30 British time and 04:30 Netherlands time, since Daylight Saving Time will be over by then). If you are not able to watch the livestream, it is possible to watch the archive of the performance.

The pianist and pop-rock singer says the following about his last performance as HITT: “It will become the most important day in the activity of HITT. (…) What do I want to do most for myself right now? What is the most sincere way to communicate with everyone? When I thought about it, with that in mind, the answer came naturally. That is what this last HITT show is all about.”

HITT has been a solo musician since 2004, released many CDs filled with piano-rock music and a humorous touch. This touch was also part of the persona on stage, where, for example, the musician was always looking in his mirror if everything was looking good. In the past, he has been part of punk band BB DAN, enough reason for the musician to release a self-cover album in October 2017 with the music of BB DAN. In the same year, he also released a best-of album with the title DIVO HITT. He has also worked on producing idol dance vocal unit rumi ruru (るみるる) and for the Mexican idol boy group DD’Boys. As HITT he has been performing in Europe many times, at certain years he planned European tours every 6 months. The last time he was in Europe was in 2019 and in 2018 he performed at anime convention Abunai! in The Netherlands. At that same convention, AVO Magazine had the chance to talk with the singer-songwriter.
