Speed metal band HELL FREEZES OVER just started their Road To Hell tour consisting mainly of shows in Japan, but the band also had a couple of shows planned outside Japan. Due to the current circumstances surrounding COVID-19, it is postponed to a later date.
After the start of the tour in August and September, the five band members would fly to Canada for a tour of several days. This will be postponed. The tour in the Netherlands was planned from October 24th in Amstelveen with additional shows in Amsterdam or Utrecht. This has also been postponed. Further details have not yet been announced by the band.
The metal band was confirmed for the 21st edition of Heavy Metal Maniacs Festival at P60 in Amstelveen, where they would share the stage with various metal bands from Europe. In July, the organisation announced that the festival would not be able to go through with the current measures of the Dutch government in mind. The festival has been postponed to October 2021 with the expectation that almost the entire line-up will be present in 2021. Nothing has been confirmed yet from the Japanese metal band, but as October 2021 is far away and the band is in the middle of a Japan tour, this will probably take some time. The advice is always to keep an eye on the social media of the band and the festival organisation.
Meanwhile, the band has released a music video to promote their upcoming debut album, titled Hellraiser. A special fact about this album is that it’s an analogue recording without computer modifications. In addition, the backing is a one-shot recording. The music video was filmed on 16mm film. Hellraiser will be released on the 26th of August 2020.
HELL FREEZES OVER was founded in 2013 and the band members, currently with an average age of 26, use instruments made in the 1980s. This also directly indicates where they get their influence from. In July 2018, they released their debut EP through the record label Spiritual Beast. The album will also be released via Spiritual Beast.
