The Swedish festival High 5ive Summer Fest 2020 has announced that the 2020 edition will be postponed due to current measures and various travel restrictions worldwide, all due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A new date has been announced, namely 2 and 3 July in Stockholm. Metal band CRYSTAL LAKE was announced as one of the bands on the line-up. The performance at High 5ive Summer Fest would be an exclusive Scandinavian show for the Japanese metal band.
The organisation of the festival said in a message on their website: “The festival will still take place and the lineup will remain with the same bands until you hear anything else, as there will be potential changes to the lineup like with any other festival. We’re in close contact with all bands, managers, agents and partners to make sure that we can go on as intended only a bit later, and the majority of all bands have already confirmed that they will be a part of the festival in Stockholm next Summer.”
It looks like the European tour of CRYSTAL LAKE will not take place this Summer. At the time of writing, the band itself hasn’t communicated anything about the status of the European tour for this Summer. Part of the tour would be with the American metal band Motionless in White, who now has cancelled the European tour. The booking agency Avocado Booking has also cancelled the German headline shows. With the festival dates cancelled or postponed, little remains of this Summer tour through Europe.
Instead it is now known that the Australian metalcore band Parkway Drive has invited the men of CRYSTAL LAKE as one of the support acts for the upcoming European tour in November and December.
All changes of Japan-related events and events where Japanese musicians are planned to perform are compiled in a list that you can find here. This list will be regularly updated.
