Five years after their first European tour, rock band THE BAWDIES has decided to return to Europe this Spring with an exclusive Dutch show at pop venue De Vorstin in Hilversum. The show is being held on Thursday, May 14 in the Kleine Zaal.
The doors of De Vorstin will open at 20.30 PM and a support act will warm up the audience from 21.00 PM. THE BAWDIES will enter the stage from 22.00 PM onwards. The evening will be concluded with an afterparty with a DJ. Tickets are now available for € 17.50 (excluding service costs), at the door they cost € 19.50 (excluding service costs). De Vorstin is accessible for the disabled and has an elevator and an accessible toilet.
THE BAWDIES can be described as rock and roll band, as the band is heavily influenced by music from the 1950s 1960s and 1970s, like rock and roll, but also the earlier rhythm & blues represented by musicians such as Little Richard and Ray Charles. The band has played at major festivals such as Summer Sonic in 2012, on the main stage of FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL in 2013, had several national tours through Japan and invited the American garage rockers THE SONICS for a tour in 2012, a band that played an influential role in the formation of THE BAWDIES. In 2015, the band performed at the biggest rock festival in France, Les Eurockeennes, and performed in Germany, France and Great Britain. In 2019, the band released their ‘best of’ album to celebrate the band’s 10th anniversary since the release of their debut album.
THE BAWDIES consists of vocalist and bass player ROY (Ryo Watanabe), guitarist and vocalist TAXMAN (Taku Funayama), guitarist JIM (Yoshihiko Kimura) and drummer MARCY (Masahiko Yamaguchi).
Soon more will be announced about the European tour of THE BAWDIES.
