Due to the current circumstances surrounding COVID-19, the German convention DoKomi has announced to move the event from 23 and 24 May to 12 and 13 September. DoKomi will still take place at the regular location, at Messe Düsseldorf.

The date chosen was the only free weekend at this location and the organisation of DoKomi is aware that it is a week away from another big German convention, Connichi. Tickets already purchased remain valid.

For DoKomi a few special guests were announced, for example, STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION, who would have their first performance in Europe. STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION is a project of R.O.N, who has already provided songs for a whole range of anime series. He has been active as a composer, producer and singer since 2013.

Other guests of honours announced were Ashibuto Penta, an Odottemita dancer, Melochin, an Odorite dancer, Minichestra (Anisong Orchestra), Hatsune Miku (Magical Mirai 2019), mangaka HANA, mangaka Toshio Maeda and mangaka Mitsunori Zaki.

The question arises if they will still be able to attend the new dates of DoKomi. According to the organisation, the guests of honour will probably come to the event in September, if not, DoKomi will communicate this through social media accounts.

More information about the postponement of DoKomi 2020 to 12 and 13 September can be found here.
