In addition to the various existing conventions, markets and fairs in The Netherlands, a new Asian pop culture event is coming to this country. In Belgium, it has been known for years as a large Asian festival with a weekend filled with culture, games, music and cosplay that attracts dozens of visitors. This year there will be a Dutch edition at Evenementenhal Gorinchem on the 23rd and 24th of May: Heroes Made in Asia.
This event is aimed at lovers of cosplay, comics, games, music and food with various activities. Cosplay is one of the main elements of the program. Visitors are invited to come to the event in cosplay. For the participants of the Cosplay Contest in cooperation with Hype Creations there is an impressive prize pool available: respectively € 1.000,-, € 500,- and € 250,- for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winner. The full programme of the event has yet to be announced, but in the meantime, a sneak preview of the location has been put online, where you will be shown around by cosplayer Sakuraflor.
Meanwhile the early bird tickets are sold out, but there are still regular tickets for sale for this event.
