Folk-rock singer-songwriter Rie Fu has announced that she will go on an European tour for the first time this Spring. The tour, organised by REALive, will take place in March. The musician will perform in France, Belgium and Germany. One show has yet to get a location.
Rie Fu gained popularity singing the theme songs to anime series such as Bleach, Gundam Seed Destiny, D.Gray-Man and Darker Than Black. She resides in Tokyo but frequently travels to the United Kingdom, where she is known as Rié, to record and promote her work. Rie fu’s songs are often bilingual, since she is fluent in both English and Japanese. With her deep and rich voice, her piano and her guitar, she tries to connect two cultures with her music. Her newest release was the album Places, that last Spring was release. For this album, she worked with several musicians, such as Jo Quail, Matt Ingram and Nick Pini en Kenji “Jammer” Suzuki. Earlier she made a tribute to The Carpenters by releasing the album Rie Fu Sings The Carpenters.
