This is not a sponsored review and because of this I won’t mention where I bought this set, if you do an online search using the name of this kit you’ll be able to find this one in several webshops.
Heart – Gummy Building Blocks – Simple
Price: ± €4 for one of them
Extra supplies: Water, Scissors, Spoon, Refrigerator, Microwave*, Heatproof Bowl or Cup
* Instead of melting the gelatine in the microwave you could heat it au bain-marie, with a heatproof glass bowl on top of a pan with a small layer of boiling water. Stir gently until all of the gelatine has melted.
With this kit you create cute gummy building blocks, which actually stack well. The kit includes three colours: pink, blue and yellow. You can build and create some cool things with these edible building blocks, each package contains some pictures of possible creations and the steps to make them. What picture you get is random.
Flavour: ♥
These tasted basically the same as the gummy rings I’ve reviewed before. Just like those other gummies these don’t have very distinct flavours, except for them being sweet. The flavours are supposed to be pineapple, strawberry and grape. I really didn’t recognize these flavours in the final product much.
The upside is that even if you don’t like strawberry, grape of pineapple flavours you might still be fine with these candies, since the flavours are very subtle.
Time needed: ⧗
Making the building blocks doesn’t take a whole lot of time, you’ll spend way more time waiting for them to set than it’ll take to make them.
Difficulty level: ★
The steps of this kit are very simple. There isn’t much that can go wrong, just don’t overheat your gummy mixtures.
Similarity: 📷📷📷
As you can see on the pictures below, the final product looks very similar to the packaging. In fact they look almost the same, as long as you follow the steps correctly this should be your result.
TIPS: Don’t overheat the mixtures and make sure they’re all done at the same time, so nothing sets before you add the top of the mould.
Press down the top of the mould firmly, otherwise the holes at the bottom of the lego won’t be clear.
Want to enjoy this kit again?
Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry. Don’t use soap to clean the mould.
If you want to reuse the mould you could make your own gummies or chocolates, for instance.
