The guitarists and brothers TarO&JirO will return to France for a short tour at the end of November. These shows will take place in between their Imperfections Tour 2019 in Japan. The brothers will perform at the festival Japan Touch in Lyon and will have two free shows in Bourg-en-Bresse and Paris. It has been a while that TarO&JirO performed in Europe and their performances are the first step after their hiatus that ended at the beginning of this year.

The tour dates are as follows:

Saturday 30 November: Japan Touch – Lyon, France
Wednesday 4 December: La Tannerie – Bourg-en-Bresse, France
Sunday 8 December: La Foisonnante – Paris, France

TarO&JirO have been active as a duo for almost 10 years, but the brothers have been playing together for much longer. In 2009, they decided to travel to London to make music and perform on the streets. After a study in London, they started to find their own style that became known as the current TarO&JirO. They have performed at Japan Expo Sud, Japan Expo Paris, Rock Oz’Arènes and Vernier Sur Rock, won a competition in 2011 which made them the main act of the festival where they performed alongside Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. In 2013, they joined the world’s largest band competition Emergenza and TarO&JirO won the second prize for ‘Best Guitarist’. The two brothers work well together and create a unique rock style with two guitars, inspired by artists like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana or Miyavi.

Between September 2015 and February 2018, the two decided to stop performing as TarO&JirO and created a new band along with a drummer. They named the band MunizO and moved to Toronto, Canada in 2016 after ditching their major label deal. In Canada, they were active as street performers. A few months after coming back to Tokyo in 2018, the trio disbanded and the two brothers didn’t perform together until January of 2019. It took four years before the two brothers came back on stage as a duo. As a result of this new start for TarO&JirO, they presented their newest album in July, titled Imperfections.
