German music label Get Your Genki is 1 year old and has decided to celebrate by handing out Bandcamp codes via Twitter.
Last weekend, codes were shared through the Twitteraccount of Get Your Genki for the first, second and third compilation of Get Your Genki. These compilations are currently only available digitally, the casette tapes are sold out. If you are interested in free Japanese music, you should be fast, as some codes have already been redeemed for a digital download of one of the compilations.
Meanwhile, a fourth compilation has been released, with 20 tracks of Japanese indie bands with a diversity of genres. The names on this compilation will not sound familiar to everyone, but that’s also the idea behind the project. The illustration of this cover is again made by Ash Loydon (@ashtonlamont). The cassette tapes of this fourth compilation are also sold out and are only available digitally via Bandcamp.
