To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the dark rock/progressive metal band Rikugo (六合) from Kyoto, the band decided to put the first three works of the band online to download for free from today (1 April) until 30 April 2019. Not familiar with this band? It is a good way to get your introduction to this band.

The musical works you can download are, Yuen (幽遠) in 2005, the first album Yoi Yami no Zanko (宵闇の残光, Afterglow of Darkness) in 2008 and the single Hi (緋) in 2009. The band provided a special website page for the free downloads.

Rikugo started out as a solo project of Shimpei Tsumita in 2004. Later on, it became a band and started to perform soon after. In 2005 they released a sound source. A few years later, in 2008, the rock band released their first album Yoi Yami no Zanko (宵闇の残光, Afterglow of Darkness). The band provided music and to two compilation albums, SAMURAI METAL VOL. 5 in 2009 and Marikagura (真神楽) in 2010. Their latest release is the EP KUROHEBI BENIHEBI (黒蛇紅蛇, Black Snake, Red Snake) in 2015. The band currently consists of vocalist Shimpei Tsumita, guitarists Kazuki Harada and Katsuhiro Nakaide, bassist Toshiyuki Sugimori and drummer Shingo Uchida. The meaning of the word itself refers to east, west, north, south, and heaven, but the band also represents the universe, emotions, life and death. Rikugo is currently under the label 413TRACKS and that means that they are label mates with SOUNDWITCH who gave away free music during Valentine’s Day.
