Royz are almost closing in on their 10-year anniversary and not only have they already released their best-of album to commemorate that, they also surprised fans with a music video of one of their first and most iconic singles 「AREA」.
The song on the video is a re-recorded version of the original but still packs the same punch as it did 9 years ago. The song is a beautiful combination of a lovely but sad story, and Subaru’s vocals manage to captivate you by the first note. The sounds are very nostalgic and the video plays into that perfectly. Throughout the 5 minutes of video, viewers are taken back through a journey of how Royz came to be, showing the very first recorded lives all the way up till this point in time. You get to see how much they’ve grown, the changes they’ve been through and all the fun times they’ve had in these 10 years.
