Psychedelic rock band Kikagaku Moyo (幾何学模様) don’t want to stand still. The band recently announced a few tours, among which a European tour. This tour is planned for May and June. After this, the band will tour the United States and Canada. But first Kikagaku Moyo will tour Europe, starting in Turkey and ending up in Norway. In between, there are a couple of shows planned in the United Kingdom, but also Ireland, Romania, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and France.
Furthermore, Kikagaku Moyo will come back to Europe for a couple of shows in August, with shows at Haldern Pop Festival in Germany, Pukkelpop festival in Belgium and End of the Road festival in the United Kingdom.
Last time that Kikagaku Moyo were touring Europe was last November and December. Kikagaku Moyo stands for geometric patterns and is best described as a psychedelic band, although the band describes it completely differently with feel-good music. Their music incorporates elements of classical Indian music, Krautrock, Traditional Folk, and 70s Rock. The band started in the Summer of 2012 busking on the streets of Tokyo and is founded by drummer/vocalist Go Kurosawa and guitarist/vocalist Tomo Katsurada. Latest release of the band is Masana Temples, Kikagaku Moyo’s 4th full-length studio album. This album got released in October 2018. Kikagaku Moyo is part of Guruguru Brain, their own label, of which the base is in Amsterdam.
