Product Review: Meiji – Hello Panda Biscuits Strawberry, Chocolate & Double Chocolate

Hello Panda Biscuits by Meiji are pretty popular and I was curious what they’d taste like. There are more flavours available, but I purchased: Strawberry, Chocolate and Double Chocolate.

Meiji – Hello Panda Biscuits: Strawberry
Price: ± €2,- for a package of 50 grams

As soon as you open the package you can smell the strawberry flavouring. The biscuit is crumbly and light, the strawberry crème tastes creamy and has an artificial strawberry flavour to it. A nice light cookie to eat.

Meiji – Hello Panda Biscuits: Chocolate
Price: ± €2,- for a package of 50 grams

The first thing you’ll notice about these cookies is the chocolate smell as you open the packaging. The biscuit seems the same as the previous one, crumbly and light, the chocolate crème is a little more filling than the strawberry one, but just as creamy. It tastes like a creamy milk chocolate.

Meiji – Hello Panda Biscuits: Double Chocolate
Price: ± €2,- for a package of 50 grams

This one smelled more like cocoa than like chocolate when you open the package, which is clearly because the biscuit has some cocoa in it, giving this one a more intense cocoa flavour. The biscuit’s texture is the same as the other ones, just the flavour is slightly different. The chocolate filling seems to be the same as the normal chocolate variety, creamy and chocolaty.

Unlike the packaging suggests the filling of these biscuits isn’t fluid, it is creamy and soft. The different images on the biscuits are an adorable and fun touch. Overall I liked all of the flavours, but strawberry one was my favourite, because it was a little less filling. The Hello Panda Biscuits all reminded me a bit of Liga Milkbreak, because of the creamy crème filling and the biscuits, but I do prefer these over Liga Milkbreak because they’re lighter and the filling is creamier.
