To promote the release of the split EP HOUR GLASS, with Finnish jazz singer Irina, the punk rock duo RIP VAN WINKLE will tour Europe from 11 October. During the tour, RIP VAN WINKLE will perform in Denmark, Finland and the United Kingdom. More tour dates may be announced later on. Earlier this year, RIP VAN WINKLE performed in different live houses in Tokyo with Irin through Japan.
RIP VAN WINKLE plays “a strange kind of blues, in which lyrical singing and smoky guitar sound clash with straightforward drums”. You can catch glimpses of both Takuhiro Fujita’s musical origins in punk as well as contemporary alternative pop and folk. The EP will be released by the Danish record company Year 22 on the day that the European tour will start: 11 October.
