The doom band Church of Misery let us know about their comeback end of April and added three more band members next to the fixed member and founder, bassist Tatsu. The band has a show planned for Desertfest Belgium in October later this year.
Besides Church of Misery there are bands like Saint Vitus, WINDHAND and Kadavar announced. Desertfest has a couple of diverse locations like Berlin and London, but this year extended to Antwerp. This festival’s duration is three days long and suitable for enthusiasts of Heavy, Rock, Psych and Doom Metalmusic. The location for Desertfest Belgium is the Trix. Combination tickets for three days are currently € 95,00 per ticket.
Does this performance on Desertfest Belgium mean that Church of Misery will go on a tour through Europe? That is yet unknown. The last time Church of Misery went on Europese tour was in 2014. After a diverse line-up change, the current 2017-version of Church of Misery consists of bassist Tatsu Mikami, singer Hiroyuki Takano, guitarist Yasuto Muraki and drummer Junichi Yamamura.
Church of Misery hasn’t been sitting still. The founder of the band has recorded an album in 2015 in the United States, which got released in March 2016. They had other musicians working together on this album too, including singer Scott Carlson (Repulsion, Death Breath, and ex-Cathedral), guitarist Dave Szulkin (active in Blood Farmers and The Disease Concept) and drummer Eric Little (Active in Earthride).
