MV Review: HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT – Alive
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on RedditShare on Tumblr

On May 17 the band HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT will release a new album, titled Realize. To promote this album the band has made a music video for the track Alive.

HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT is active since 2000 and consists of singer Anza, guitarist Hiro, bassist Narumi, and drummer Batch. This line-up has been consistent for 5 years. The focal point of the band lies on the voice of Anza, which is a combination of angelic and raw. With the raw voice, Anza knows to bring the painful emotions to the front. This combined with the heavy music makes the band HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT.

Every song of the hand of this band remains recognizable, thanks to the voice of Anza and that is also the fact with the song Alive. The track is fast of nature and provides little resting moments. Alive gives a good idea of what you can expect from the album Realize, the band knows to stay interesting after all these years. In the video you see MMA fighter Kotetsu Boku in action, the band wants to show the theme battle in the video: live is a challenge, you need to keep on going.

HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT is a band that has a special place in my heart and that will stay this way. It is one of the bands that introduced me to Japanese metal. That has been already 12 years ago, and till this day I keep my eyes on this band.

Rating: 75/100
