It was only one year ago that the instrumental rock band MONO toured Europe, but this October the four-piece band will return for another European tour to celebrate their 25th anniversary. To make it extra special, the post-rock veterans are bringing along a chamber music ensemble for the European shows.
Their brand-new album, titled OATH, is out and this album will be performed in its entirety during the upcoming shows in Europe. The news of the death of musician and audio engineer Steve Albini last May, with whom MONO collaborated for 22 years, on many albums including the newest album by the instrumental rock band, might have given this new release an extra layer of meaning.
