Tour organisation ORIONlive came with a final decision about the JPOP Double Trouble tour, a European tour originally planned with pop musicians 2& (DOUBLE AND) and Mariko Takei. The tour will no longer take place.
On social media, the following got shared by ORIONlive: “Unfortunately, due to continuing uncertainty regarding myriad factors affecting travel, venues, and the shift of Hyper Japan to an online event, the DOUBLE AND Double Trouble Tour has been cancelled. Refunds will be issued within the next few working days.”
The tour was supposed to take place in the summer of 2020, but it got postponed a few months after the announcement due to the pandemic. New dates were not officially announced, but since they were connected with the UK event HYPER JAPAN, it was expected that the tour would take place in July of this year. Although, in January it became known that there will be no physical event of HYPER JAPAN this summer. The shows of this European tour were planned to take place in the United Kingdom, Germany and The Netherlands.
Saki Chitose (DOUBLE AND) commented on the cancellation of the European tour through Twitter: “I hope I can tour overseas when the world becomes peaceful again soon!”
All changes of Japan-related events and events where Japanese musicians are planned to perform are compiled in a list that you can find here. This list will be regularly updated.
