Although known for a while now, it has been announced that the Swiss event Polymanga 2021 is moved to August. The event was originally planned for April of this year, around Easter, but originally the postponements of Polymanga started in 2020. In total, the event had to postpone 3 more times, from April 2020 to August 2020 to April 2021 and now the new dates are planned for 13, 14 and 15 August. Third time’s the charm, right?
In a press release, Polymanga shared the following: “One More Time we have to postpone Polymanga 2020 after August 2020 and April 2021. COVID-19 gives us no choice other than to postpone the big convention to August, Thursday 12, Friday 13, Saturday 14, Sunday 15 2021 (last week of summer vacations for many
attendees). It will still take place in Montreux 2m2c, Switzerland.”
For those who have purchased tickets for the 2020 or April 2021 edition can be certain that these tickets will still be valid for the new dates. You will also keep the benefits the event has given the ticket holders. It is also possible to get your money back.
On the guests previously announced, Polymanga shared the following: “As far as possible, we wish that the guests announced in 2020 will return in 2021, just like many other guests we have not had the chance to reveal due to the COVID-19 crisis.” It seems smart to keep an eye on the social media of Polymanga to find out who will be attending the August 2021 edition of this event.
Polymanga has been Switzerland’s biggest pop culture, video games and manga event for 16 years. For many Japanese musicians and bands, this event and many other events taking place in the spring period are a perfect location to connect their European tour with.
All changes of Japan-related events and events where Japanese musicians are planned to perform are compiled in a list that you can find here. This list will be regularly updated.
