HIGHFeeL will release special compilation CD titled Silent Spring

Management and music production agency HIGHFeeL will be releasing a special compilation CD with the Japanese musicians who collaborate with the company from Belgium and Japan. The profits from this album release will go to local non-profit organisations that help seniors and those working on the front lines during the crisis around COVID-19.

HIGHFeeL begins their announcement of the album with the following: “In these troubled times, more than ever, art and music bring comfort and joy to confined homes around the world.”

The album will be titled Silent Spring and refers to the work of Rachel Carson, who in 1962 described how the heavy use of pesticides disturbed the balance of nature, life on Earth and world health. HIGHFeeL adds the following to their explanation: “Today, even if the context is different, the stakes are just as high, and even more people are beginning to believe that it is time to turn the tide and return to a more natural world.”

The title can also be seen as a reference to the quiet Spring with all the activities that have been suspended by the current situation around COVID19, just think of the many cancellations of events and postponed releases.

This album consists of a combination of old and new songs, in total there will be 13 tracks on this release. The musicians who joined the special project of HIGHFeeL are Ekotumi, G.L.A.M.S, Galaxy7, Good Thru Date, HITT, Ichion, Kihiro (ex-LOKA), Rie Fu, Ryo Fujimura, Satsuki, Sho Kotani, Somei Yoshino, and Tezya. The album release is planned for the end of April and is available from 26 April via major digital platforms such as Bandcamp and on the website of HIGHFeeL.
