This is not a sponsored review and because of this I won’t mention where I bought this set, if you do an online search using the name of this kit you’ll be able to find this one in several webshops.
Heart – Oekaki Stick Chocolate – Simple
Price: ± €6
Extra supplies: Scissors, Spoon, Refrigerator, Microwave*, Heatproof Bowl or Cup, Optional: Piping bag or Sandwich bag
* Instead of melting the chocolate in the microwave I decided to heat it au bain-marie, with a heatproof glass bowl on top of a pan with a small layer of boiling water. I stirred until all of the chocolate had melted.
With this kit you create a cute chocolate lolly and a chocolate, which you create a pattern on with blue, green, pink and orange chocolate balls. This is a new version of this set. Correctly placing the chocolate balls takes the most time when you want to create a fun pattern, but even this only takes a few minutes. Melting the chocolate takes barely any time, after this you will have to wait one hour for your chocolate to harden in the fridge and then you can start puzzling.
The new thing about this set are the new patterns you can get and the orange chocolate balls, the last version had blue, green and pink chocolate balls.
The kits is very easy and you can create a nice chocolate lolly and chocolate in a simple way. It’s fun to make, especially because you don’t have to put in much effort to get a nice result.
The final product looks nice, being able to use four colours is definitely an improvement, although more colours would be even more fun. The chocolate lolly and chocolate look like I expected, when looking at the packaging. If anything the colours seemed more vibrant in real life than on the box.
The new version of this set tasted just as good as the last version, in my opinion. The milk chocolate tasted nice, but a little less strong than I’m used to. The blue, green, pink and orange chocolate balls reminded me of M&Ms or Smarties again. In my opinion this is a tasty set!
TIPS: If you’re using a spoon to fill the mould you have to put the mould in the refrigerator for 10 minutes and then scrape off the chocolate that went outside the edges of the mould. If you use a piping bag or sandwich bag instead it’s easier to keep the chocolate from going over the edge.
Make sure you don’t overfill the mould, shake it back and forth carefully on your work surface to spread it well.

Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry. Don’t use soap to clean the mould.
If you want to reuse the mould you could use any kind of chocolate you’d like. The set contains 25 grams of milk chocolate, this is what you’ll need for one chocolate lolly and one chocolate. You could leave out the blue, green, pink and orange chocolate balls or replace them with sugar pearls. I did have some left, but not enough to fill the moulds again.
