The instrumental rock band will return to Europe this spring to celebrate their 25th anniversary. The tour, entitled Loneliness Will Shine, consists of eight shows and kicks off on 10 April in the United Kingdom. The band will also perform in the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Denmark and, finally, Germany. The shows in the Netherlands and Paris are now sold out, while the shows in London and Berlin have been moved to larger venues.
Consisting of guitarists Mino Takaaki and Yamazaki Hirokazu, drummer Kashikura Takashi and bassist Yamane Satoshi, the Japanese quartet’s music is often categorised as post-rock and math rock, with dynamic drumming and melodic guitar work. Since their inception in 2000, the four-piece band has released four studio albums, the most recent being Now I See the Light in 2024. In addition to a live album, split release, remix album and compilation album, the band has also released a stack of EPs. In 2021, they contributed a song to the soundtrack of the anime series Sonny Boy. The band has toured Europe several times, including in 2013 and 2016.
