HYPER GAL previously toured Europe in 2024, but this April and May, the experimental noise-pop duo from Osaka will return for more than 10 shows. The tour will kick off in Luxembourg and include performances in France, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. While several shows are planned in Belgium, with stops in Brussels, Charleroi, Liège, and Ghent, Koharu Ishida and Kurumi Kadoya will give just one performance in the Netherlands, at Musicon in The Hague.
The description of HYPER GAL’s music is broad, ranging from minimalist noise rock to post-shoegaze. The two musicians, vocalist Koharu Ishida and drummer Kurumi Kadoya, don’t mind that their music project is difficult to define and are happy to play on this by getting the most out of being a duo. On stage, the two musicians collaborate using multiple instruments and loops to create an energetic and unique performance. To date, the duo has released two albums, Pure in 2022 and After Image in 2024, and an EP in 2018, entitled A Song For XXX.
