She is pointing her index finger to the side of her sunglasses, which are lowered so that you can easily see her eyes. Later this August, POiSON GiRL FRiEND will embark on a European tour with eight shows in the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. The tour will be kicked off on 23 August at the RALLY Festival in London.

After her first tour through the United States in 2024, she was in Europe last May for a number of shows. Her summer tour in August and September is a bit more extended compared to her tour in May of this year.

POiSON GiRL FRiEND is the solo project of singer, songwriter, composer, producer and DJ nOrikO. In 1990, she formed the group The Poison Girl Friends with her friends, which eventually evolved into her solo project, POiSON GiRL FRiEND, by the end of 1991. After releasing her first self-produced mini-album, she signed with major music label Victor Entertainment and later with Nippon Columbia for various releases. In 2021, her earlier work was released on digital platforms for the first time, reigniting interest worldwide.

Her influences come from many directions, but the foundation lies in her childhood as the daughter of a chanson singer, growing up in various countries, such as Brazil and the United Kingdom. She eventually returned to Japan as a teenager, but she also lived in London and Paris in later years. All these experiences, along with nOrikO’s diverse collaborations, combine to form the unique, boundary-pushing sound of POiSON GiRL FRiEND and a special place in the Japanese music scene.
