With a brand-new EP in tow, tilted u are the moonlight, self-producing indie pop musician Aya Gloomy will tour Europe for the first time in September. The European tour kicks off on 5 September in Belgium, with a performance in Brussels. She will also perform in Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
During this tour, Aya Gloomy will share the stage with Australian musician, multi-instrumentalist and singer Mahne Frame, who also runs his own label and creative outlet, 21 N FUN, which Aya Gloomy is also affiliated with. He lived in Japan for a while and collaborated with various artists, including Tohji, Aya Gloomy, Jonatan Leandoer96 (Yung Lean), and Kirin J Callinan.
Since 2018, Aya Gloomy’s distinctive pop melodies and fashion sense have been attracting attention, in Japan and beyond. She was even the subject of the photo book Aya by London-based photographer Francesco Allen, featured on the cover of IN Magazine in 2020, and appeared in several episodes of Kiko Mizuhara’s Amazon Prime Video series Kiko Kikaku. She also runs her own vintage shop, Pompom Shop. Last week, her new 5-track EP, u are the moonlight, was released.
