For music fans familiar with black metal from Japan, the name Abigail is likely to strike a chord. The black/thrash metal band has a European tour scheduled for November, with several shows already (almost) sold out. Abigail will tour Europe with Colombia-based thrash metal band Perpetual Warfare and American blackened thrash metal band Black Mass The Netherlands is also on the planning, with a special Sunday show at Willemeen in Arnhem, this will be the first Dutch performance for the trio. Neither will Abigail skip Belgium with a show. Originally, the band also had plans to head to the United Kingdom, but that plan was scrapped due to problems with the visas.

Abigail, founded in 1992 by Yasuyuki Suzuki, is known as “The Most Evil Band in Japan”. Suzuki has remained a constant presence as the band’s frontman and bassist. Although their band sound was initially pure black metal, Suzuki now describes it as ‘street metal,’ with strong influences from thrash metal. Over the years, they have built up an extensive discography and achieved cult status within the international metal community.

This is a digital painting of the avatar of Vocaloid producer and songwriter Kikuo with colourful and flowing long hair and two red horns.
