With a new album all set for release, noise rock band MELT-BANANA will be heading to the United Kingdom to present their new record by touring extensively.

The brand-new album, titled 3+5, is the band’s first new album in 11 years and will be released on 23th of August via their own label, A-Zap Records, just before the start of their tour of the United Kingdom. Consisting of nine new tracks, two tracks of MELT-BANANA’s 8th album were recently shared, including the music video for STOPGAP.

The extensive tour, presented by Dictionary Pudding, through the United Kingdom has expanded to 25 shows, starting in Ramsgate on 28 August and ending in London on 27 September. In addition to the upcoming shows in the United Kingdom, it appears that no other performances are currently planned in continental Europe, although the band did perform at the Czech Obscene Extreme Festival in July. In addition, the band was in the United States in May and June for an extensive tour.

MELT-BANANA, active since 1992, first as a typical four-piece band, now a duo consisting of vocalist YAKO and guitarist AGATA. Described as a rock band with a touch of punk, after listening to MELT-BANANA’s music you will soon think that this may not be a complete description. Yet it won’t matter that much to the band, as MELT-BANANA stands for innovation and progression, and the band’s sound is more likely to fall into a different class than simply rock with a touch of punk or noise rock. In many cases, this band is more likely to be seen as inspiring and trendsetting for many other musician in the world..

A cropped version of a photo of Shuya Onuki as KAMIKAMIKAMI, but edited in a way that it shows an eerie and mysterious moment. The photo consists of a bright light source, most probably the sun, and the musician who seemed to have taken the photo in a window. The editing is done by Floor Toppets @/fl00r99 on Instagram, and shows blurring and filters, making it an abstract photo.
