Her long black hair is spread out behind her, and she has red lipstick on. She is also wearing black gloves and a black headpiece that features a spikes. The environment around her is a serene, snow-covered expanse. The photo has been used as a cover for the single 浄土独唱 (Jodo Dokushou), released in April 2023.

Himari Tsukishiro with her solo project Isiliel has only just finished her shows in the United States, where she also got the chance to perform on stage with a backing band, but she is definitely not skipping Europe in terms of shows. Soon the Japanese metal idol will be in London for a show and fan event, but after that, she will have gigs in Germany, the Netherlands and Norway.

Last December and January, she was already in Europe for a mini-tour, but it is clear that Himari Tsukishiro is not tired of Europe at all as there are still many new opportunities for her to spread her music further. And for the European leg of her Moonbow Crusade world tour 2024, big steps are going to be taken.

The European leg of Isiliel’s world tour will kick off in the United Kingdom. Initially, more dates were to be added in other parts of the United Kingdom for Isiliel’s summer tour, but it was eventually announced that this did not work out and a fan event in London was added to the schedule. In the Netherlands, the Japanese metal idol has several appearances planned, including at the convention Abunai! and the Japanese market TomoFair. Here, fans of Isiliel can enjoy Japanese culture and her music at the same time, while fans of Japanese culture unfamiliar with Isiliel’s music will have the chance to get acquainted with her work.

For the show in Norway, which is simultaneously the first Norwegian show for Isiliel, Himari will perform with a backing band called the Lilin, although the Norwegian version of it. Consisting of both local musicians and musicians with strong ties to the album 月虹創聖記 (Moonbow Genesis), Isiliel’s debut album. The musicians who will perform as The Lilin in Norway are Nicholay Hovland, guitarists Håkon Aune and Thomas J. Fullu, bassist Lasse Kulsrud Nordby, and drummer Bagus. Besides all this, Isiliel will be the opening act for German band Coppelius during their autumn tour, titled Schall & Rauch Tour 2024, in October. This tour consists of 9 shows, starting on 2 October in Kaiserslautern and ending on 19 October in Annaberg.

Meanwhile, Himari’s solo project has been active for over two years, with emphasis on the word active, because in addition to new music, she has also toured the world. Last year, Isiliel released her debut album, 月虹創聖記 (Moonbow Genesis), where she collaborated with Nicholay Hovland for all songs and Fredrik Nordström (At the Gates, Arch Enemy, In Flames) for recording and producing the album.

In the meantime, she has released several singles, including Pinky Promise, an April Fools joke where Himari performed a super-sweet city pop song, with the cherry on top of the cake being a music video where Himari can be seen as a literal pop princess, this was well received by fans and this song was eventually released as a single. Isiliel’s latest single, Qliphoth, has just been released on all major streaming platforms, but fans have already had the chance to listen to the new song in the form of a new music video since the beginning of June, in which the pop princess Himari appears again. If you are familiar with the anime film Perfect Blue, you can surely recognise references in the last two music videos.
