After a successful tour last year, the cute, energetic metal machine BABYMETAL is back to show their unique blend of metal and idol pop with a new European tour this year. While last year’s tour was mostly focused on headlining acts, this year BABYMETAL will change things up a little bit by visiting festivals all over Europe.

The tour will kick off with Rock Im Park & Rock Am Ring in Germany, after which they will visit Greenfield Festival in Switzerland, Download Festival in the UK, Nova Rock Festival in Austria, Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium, Pinkpop in the Netherlands, Rock in Roma in Italy, Hellfest in France, and they will finish it off with Resurrection Fest in Spain. In between the festivals, they will also perform a couple of headlining concerts in the Netherlands and Poland and a co-headlining show with Bad Omens in France.

To get in the mood for all the festivals to come, we can check out the performances at their very own FOX_FEST, which happened last week in Japan. FOX_FEST had appearances from metal band Polyphia, who were featured on their 2019 song Brand New Day, and metal band Electric Callboy, who collaborated with them on their new song RATATATA.

Electric Callboy is known for their blend of electronic music, where they alternate up-tempo electronic beats with a rapid fire of drums and guitar riffs and accompanying screams. Just like BABYMETAL, they enjoy blending other genres together with metal, and their collaboration RATATATA fits perfectly in the middle, where electronic and idol pop get welded together with metallic riffs and guttural screams.

FOX_FEST was the first time BABYMETAL performed RATATATA live, and to make it extra special, they brought Electric Callboy on stage to perform it together. Hopefully international fans will get the chance to experience this as well since they will both be attending Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring in Germany, Download Festival in the UK, and the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium.
