On the right is the solo photo of Yurapico who is dressed in an elaborate blue dress with golden ornaments and a tiara. This outfit was seen for the first time in December 2023 for Yurapico's 10th anniversary show. On the left is GARUDA dressed in a red and black costume, with her signature wings and spiky baseball bat. The costume is done by ☆YUKA☆ and the photo is taken by Izumi Kurahayashi.

Idol fans can rejoice as underground idols Yurapico and GARUDA will return to Europe for a joint mini-tour in June. The tour is titled Zuukyun June and consists of performances in the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Germany. The meaning of the term Zuukyun is a sudden, strong heart-pounding sensation.

Yurapico

For Yurapico, it will be her first time performing in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom following her shows in Germany last year. Yurapico, written in Japanese as ゆらぴこ, has been active as an idol and performer for 10 years but started her solo activities in 2022. She has been active in several idol groups but might be more known for her activities in idol groups Guso Drop and BURST GIRL. Last year, she released her first album YuraSmile, and toured Japan with the mission to spread the magic of smiles in all 47 prefectures. The musician also has plans for shows in the United States later this year. For the European tour, she will bring a limited release of her new single CANDLE.

GARUDA

GARUDA is the dark industrial gothic solo project of Yuffie Sakimura, who is also active in rockabilly idol group MELON BATAKE A GO GO and was previously part of goth-metal idol group ReAlice. GARUDA is a self-produced project by the musician whose debut live took place in the summer of 2017. Since then she has been able to perform several times in the United Kingdom, including the Indie, Idol and Infamous tour in 2019. Last year, GARUDA performed for the first time in the Netherlands and Germany.

Yurapico and GARUDA Zuukyun June Tour Dates

Thursday 6 June, 2024: The Water Rats – London, England
Friday 7 June, 2024: Flatertheek – Naaldwijk, The Netherlands
Saturday 8 June, 2024: Blue Shell – Cologne, Germany
Sunday 9 June, 2024: OFF-KAI – Club Heimathirsch – Cologne, Germany

Regular tickets and VIP upgrades are available for these shows. In addition to the three shows, an OFF-KAI event is also planned in Cologne, an event similar to a meet & greet, but longer-lasting with food and drinks and, in this case, a special performance.

The Zuukyun June tour is organised by brand-new company Tebasaki Group K.K. that is dedicated to help independent artists in guidance and expanding their reach. For this tour, they collaborated with Kushikatsu Records, German Idol Society (GiS), and Dutch Idol Community (DiC) to make the shows happen.

A cropped version of a photo of Shuya Onuki as KAMIKAMIKAMI, but edited in a way that it shows an eerie and mysterious moment. The photo consists of a bright light source, most probably the sun, and the musician who seemed to have taken the photo in a window. The editing is done by Floor Toppets @/fl00r99 on Instagram, and shows blurring and filters, making it an abstract photo.
