Takara Tomy – Sumikko Gurashi Chocolate Popsicle – Simple
Price: ± €7
Extra supplies: Two Heatproof Bowls, Silicone Spatula, Spoon, Scissors and Plate.

Sumikko Gurashi, the set of characters by San-X, are the stars of this candy kit. With this kit you’ll create Sumikko Gurashi themed chocolate popsicles. There are three moulds available, each with different Sumikko Gurashi designs on it, of which three will turn into a popsicle and two little chocolates. Which mould you get is a surprise, as it’s not indicated on the outside. In the package you’ll find instructions, a mould, mini breadsticks, chocolate, two bag to put the treats in and two closing stickers.

Flavour: ♥♥♥
Creamy and slightly bitter chocolate with crunchy biscuit sticks. The cookies were slightly sweet, which balanced the bitterness of the chocolate well. Personally I really like these kinds of combinations, they reminded me a little of the kinoko no yama cookies from Meiji. Delicious.

Time needed: ⧗
It doesn’t take long to assemble these chocolate popsicles. It takes more time to wait for them to set than it does to make them.

Difficulty level: ★
This kit doesn’t have a lot of steps to it.

Similarity: 📷📷📷
As you can see on the pictures below, the final product looks basically the same as the picture on the packaging. The colours on the packaging are a little less dark.

Want to enjoy this kit again?

Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry.

You can refill the mould with chocolate, but you could also put soft candy or fondant in it. Replace the “sticks” with a different kind of cookies to your liking, although I had a cookie stick leftover after making the kit, which could still be used as well.

This is not a sponsored review and because of this we won’t mention where this set was bought, search online using the name of this candy kit and you should be able to find it.

Still from the music video "やりたい (Yaritai)" by 初期の藤林里佳 (Shoki no Fujibayashi Rika). The still shows smoke coming up while it is filmed in seemingly an old video format.
