In July, the stoner/doom metal trio of Hebi Katana will head to Italy and France for a couple of shows, sharing the stage with Italian heavy psych rock trio Godzilla Was Too Drunk To Destroy Tokyo, they were in Japan just last spring for a tour. Titled as Super Fuzz Booze & Ride Tour 2024, the short tour will consist of five shows.
Formed in the winter of 2020 and dubbed as Tokyo Samurai Doom, from the band’s inception in the middle of the pandemic, this doom metal band has already made quite a name for itself, and not just in Japan. Hebi Katana’s first album was released in and outside Japan (on various labels in Italy, Argentina and Poland) which was followed up by their second album Impermanence-無常 in 2022 and another album in 2023, titled III.
In the meantime, they have been putting out a lot more music, including live recordings. The latest was shared today on their Bandcamp, Doom N’ Bloom 2024, which is a recording of their live performances in Tokyo and Osaka last April. And it has been recently announced that the third album by Hebi Katana will be released on vinyl through the German label This Charming Man-Records.
