They are ready for the next step. The Tokyo-based metalcore band Sailing Before The Wind will soon embark on a European tour for the first time. The tour is scheduled to take place in April and consists of 7 stops in countries as France, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

The metalcore band has been completely independent from the start in 2011 and, after several line-up changes, has only one original band member left, namely bassist Bitoku, who is also responsible for composing the music. Last year, the current band line-up was presented with the additions of new vocalist Ryoichi and two guitarists, named Kosuke and Liku. Currently the band is looking for a permanent drummer. The metalcore band is known for their collaborative spirit with artists worldwide over the years, making the decision to tour Europe a logical next step.

Shortly after they announced the new line-up, they released the single Vanishing Figure with guest vocals of Sean Hester from the US metalcore band Life Itself. Following the single release, to celebrate the first anniversary of the single One Step Over featuring guitar work by Jonathan Thorpenberg from the Swedish melodic death metal band The Unguided, Sailing Before The Wind unveiled a remix EP of their 2022 release. Later on in 2023, the Japanese metalcore band released a live album and another single, the single Inferno, where they worked with guitarist CØRTES, who is also active in the US metal band Zoume. The latest single was also the first single of 2024, Breath of Air, continuing the the band’s series of collaborations. Sailing Before The Wind’s can be found on major streaming- and download services, in addition they have been very active on social media to show what you can expect from the band on stage.
