An interesting collaboration between the Japanese instrumental rock band MONO and Spanish film collective ALISON resulted in a film fusing a story with live music, entitled Live Pilgrimage in Madrid. The film was shot in its entirety in Spain and features a full live performance from the band’s 2022 European Tour in Madrid.

After the narrative-fusion live music film was showcased in the United States and Mexico, it is now time for Europe with three screening dates, including one in Berlin, Barcelona and Leipzig.

The story revolves around a young woman who awakens from a strange omen: visions of the end of time and desolation; a figure wanders around until it lies dead. This abnormal sensation guides the young girl through a city to a place where she will find peace she longed for. MONO’s music accompanies this mourner’s pilgrimage through dreams and time.

This is not the first time MONO and the Spanish film collective have collaborated, given that in the summer of 2021 they presented a film recorded in 2020 that was linked to single Riptide, a track that can be found on the album Pilgrimage of the Soul.
