The three men of Electric Eel Shock are standing in front of a Japanese eatery, identifiable by the banner with the word "おでん" (Oden) on it. The frontman stands in the centre, wears a denim jacket and has his hands in his pockets, while his companions on either side display different postures with one having his arms crossed and the other pointing a finger towards probably the eatery. © Photo by Yuki Kuroyanagi

Following the digital re-release in April 2023 of Slayer’s Bay Blues, their self-recorded album that was sold at live shows during their first ventures overseas in the USA in 1999, and in celebration of their 30th anniversary in the spring of 2024 will see Electric Eel Shock return to Europe for the first time since 2019.

Comprising 27 dates over 31 days the tour begins in the United Kingdom on March 22nd and culminates in the Netherlands on April 21st, seeing the 3-piece band expand on 2019’s performances in the United Kingdom to bring their blend of classic rock, punk rock and metal to fans in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Sweden too. 30 years is a great achievement for any band, and it is something that fans of the band will certainly want to be part of.

A cropped version of a photo of Shuya Onuki as KAMIKAMIKAMI, but edited in a way that it shows an eerie and mysterious moment. The photo consists of a bright light source, most probably the sun, and the musician who seemed to have taken the photo in a window. The editing is done by Floor Toppets @/fl00r99 on Instagram, and shows blurring and filters, making it an abstract photo.
